Natural Resources Information Council |

| Established 1993 | ||||
NRIC, the Natural Resources Information Council, was formally founded in 1993 but its history starts two years prior to that when the first North American Fish and Game Special Librarian's Conference organized by Inez Hopkins was held in Boise, Idaho. The organization has held annual meetings since that date. The NRIC facilitates the exchange of information among natural resource managers, information specialists, and librarians specializing in natural resources. Members come from both public (government, academic) and private (NGO, consulting) organizations.
